GENERAL ORDER INFORMATION
DiaDot Disability Solutions uses a secure
server for all login and order processes. When placing an order please
check the items description and options carefully. All grab bars are measured center to center. Note the style, size,
color, diameter, finish, handing, quantity, as well as, any other options
or features. Check available samples. Check the appropriate links on all items for any additional
ordering information. Make sure your order is accurate before processing.
Once processed, you are obligated to the order as placed. All online orders
are processed automatically and stocked items are shipped next business
day. Check or money orders are processed when funds have been transferred.
Custom orders require an authorized signature. Although we continue to
check listings for accuracy, DiaDot will not be held liable for discontinued,
out of stock, or listing errors. Because of, but not limited to, the variation
of installation methods and local building codes, DiaDot has no liability
to the ADA compliance of any installed products. DiaDot Inc. reserves the
right to cancel any order at any time and issue a refund if applicable.

CUSTOM QUOTES
Use the Quote
Custom form or FAX the request to 1-973-875-5634. Be sure to include
: Name - Telephone number and/or fax number - Quantity - Shipping information.
Custom configurations may require a sketch or drawing. You will receive
a quote that will require your signature to process. DiaDot reserves the
right to withdraw quotations at any time for any reason.
CUSTOM ORDERS
When placing custom orders please check the items description and options
carefully. All grab bars are measured center to center. Note the style, size, color, diameter, finish, handing, quantity,
as well as, any other options or features. Use the appropriate codes or
descriptions. Check available samples. Check the appropriate links on all items for any additional
ordering information.
Once you receive your custom quote, you will have a Custom quotation number ("CQ" number). Use your user name and password to
log in to your account or create a new account. In your Account menu select "Process a custom quote" to make your purchase.
Be sure to include the "QC" number and the custom quote total.

SHIPPING INFORMATION
Most items are shipped via United Parcel Service, Federal Express, DHL,
or United States Postal Service.
Over night, requested carrier, special packaging or delivery
instructions,
or out of the continental United States, may incur additional costs. Depending on configuration, options, and finishes, products will usually ship within 1-14 business days.
DiaDot
is not responsible for inaccurate or undeliverable shipping addresses.
DiaDot reserves the right to ship via any carrier deemed fit.
TO DETERMINE SHIPPING
In order for you to determine shipping charges prior to purchase we need your shipping information.
Step-1 Add all proposed items to the shopping cart.
Step-2 Once all items are in the cart with the correct quantities, click on the “checkout” button, you will be prompted to enter shipping information (this is not a purchase, payment information has not been collected).
Step-3 Once the shipping information is completed, click “continue”, this will bring you to a “confirm shipping” page, showing all the charges associated with shipping.
If you would like to continue with this purchase, click “continue”. You will now be taken to the payment page. To discard this purchase or edit the quantities and options click on the “view” button found on the left by your shopping cart. Or discard the order entirely by leaving the store.
SHIPPING SURCHARGES
Some of the grab bar configurations offered, are classed as oversized packages
by many shippers. These particular items will have an over sized
shipping surcharge associated with the cost. This cost is itemized
separately from the other product options.
You can avoid this surcharge, as well as any shipping costs, by picking
up your items in person. Please contact us at 1-973-875-5669 from 7 am
- 4 pm Monday through Friday eastern standard time to make arrangements.
COMPONENT SURCHARGES
Grab bars are typically made in one piece. Several grab bar configurations are offered with a component option.
In addition to the impact on shipping (it is typically less to ship), it may make getting the product into the
space to install easier. It also gives the installer the ability to make the handing for the product left or right
at the time of installation. Component configurations are assembled with a 304 stainless steel dowel and an industrial
epoxy that is both undetectable once completed while maintaining the strength to comply and perform the intended function.

TECHNICAL DATA
TECHNICAL DATA - METAL
All grab bars are measured center to center.
There are three tubing sizes with eight flanges to choose from. All
parts are Type 304 stainless steel, heliarc welded to form one complete
unit.18 gauge tubing is standard, 16 and 12 gauge are available upon request.
All bars offered are fabricated to meet the requirements of ASTM # F446-85,
bends are 90 degrees and 1 1/2" wall clearance is standard (38 mm) and
comply with ANSI A117.1-1986. We offer a wide variety of bars that
meet or exceed all building codes for barrier-free design. In addition,
all of the models featured can be modified to different dimensions to fit
your needs. All grab bars meet or exceed the structural strength requirements
of HUD, FHA, VA, ADA, and other current U.S. building codes and ADA
guidelines (300 pounds/1335N). Check the appropriate charts for a particular
items specifications.

MATERIAL ATTRIBUTES
All grab bars are measured center to center. Nylon Products feature closed-pore, anti-bacterial 1 7/16-inch (36mm) diameter tubes bonded to industrial aluminum structural cores. The nylon tubes are 1/8-inch (3mm) thick and have extremely smooth bright and shiny surfaces.
ANTI-BACTERIAL
The high-quality thermoplastic resin POLYAMIDE 6 surfaces of nylon products provide a virtually pore-free surface that does not support the growth of
NON-SLIP
Slip-resistance of grab bars is a function of the area of hand-to-bar surface contact. The higher the porosity of the grab bar surface, the less slip-resistance. Because Polyamide 6 Nylon is a closed pore product, Nylon Grab Bars have significantly more hand-to-bar surface contact per square inch and the slip-resistance of Nylon Grab Bars is significantly greater than peened steel surfaced grab bars. Nylon products are highly slip-resistant even when wet.
ELECTRICALLY SAFE
Nylon neither generates nor conducts electricity.
FIRE-SAFE
Nylon products are rated UL 94 V-2 as a
self-extinguishable material that emits no toxic gases.
ANTI-CORROSIVE
Nylon products will never crack, chip, peel, corrode or rust.
CODES AND STANDARDS COMPLIANT
Nylon Products meet or exceed IBC, ANSI and ADA Standards, Canadian CSA Standards, and European Union EU Standards and Norms for safety, strength, load, deflection, and applications.
COMFORTABLE
Because of the unique attributes of nylon resin polyamide 6, Nylon products are always warm to the touch since they reflect the heat of the human body nearly instantly. This attribute is particularly comforting to the very elderly and arthritis sufferers whose bodies are extremely sensitive to cold.
MECHANICAL PROPERTIES:
It is remarkable for its high mechanical resistance (Sr = 60N/mm˛, rigidity (Ez = 1300 N/mm˛), strength (70 N/mm˛) in a wide range of temperatures. This material is virtually indestructible to usual impact, tensile and bending stress and at the same time guarantees an exceptional resistance to wear and tear.
THERMAL PROPERTIES:
Tests conducted by Underwriter’s laboratories have demonstrated that the material possesses high thermal resistance and does not burn easily. Its flame retardancy is classified as self-extinguishing in the category UL 94 V-2. Toxic gases are not generated.
ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES:
The material is an excellent insulator which does not conduct electricity. It does not cause electrostatic charges and does not attract dust. Grounding is not necessary. The material is ideal for “clean rooms” and medical areas where electrostatic charges cannot be tolerated.
CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:
It is resistant to weathering and insensitive to numerous chemical agents such as solvents, detergents, disinfectants and caustics. However, regular or prolonged contact with acid detergents or scouring materials and abrasive agents can deteriorate the highly polished surface of the material and should not be used. Disinfectant soap dissolved in water is all that is required to clean and maintain the bright sanitary surfaces.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES:
The chemical composition is in accordance with the current health and sanitation requirements of various public and private regulating agencies such as NSF and the German Health Ministry.
ECOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
The Nylon is produced without heavy metals or derivatives, and is free of cadmium, lead, mercury, selenium and their derivatives. The material is fully recyclable.
CLEANING:
The material is very easy to clean and maintain with soap and water. It has good stability to hydrocarbons, oils, fats, and halogenated hydrocarbons such as carbon tetrachloride, frigen and Freon. Recommended cleaning agents are disinfectants containing aldehydes, alcohols and ammoniac and phosphor compounds. Avoid the use of detergents containing chloroform, methylene and inorganic acids.
HIGH-STRENGTH ALUMINUM In accordance with UNI 9006, the aluminum used in the products is classified as aluminum 6060. Aluminum undergoes a calorific hardening treatment and is afterward aged artificially by heating from 170°C to 185°C for a period of 6 -10 hours.

This Nylon product Article 445 Fold-up was tested by TUV, the European testing service. The product was tested through 40,000 cycles from one stop to the other without any discernable reduction in product functional integrity.
Nylon Products Exceed the ADA Strength Test
In August 2002, randomly selected samples of Nylon products were strength tested in accordance with ASTM 446 for compliance with ADAAG-issued ADA Guidelines. The testing was conducted by:

ADAAG requires that Grab Bars, Bath Seats, and Shower Seats meet the following guidelines:
609.8 Structural Strength (for Grab Bars). Allowable stresses shall not be exceeded for materials used when a vertical or horizontal force of 250 pounds (1112 N) is applied at any point on the grab bar, fastener, mounting device, or supporting structure.
610.4 Structural Strength (for Bath Seats and Shower Seats. Allowable stresses shall not be exceeded for materials used when a vertical or horizontal force of 250 pounds (1112 N) is applied at any point on the seat, fastener, mounting device, or supporting structure.
The NAHB Research Center strength-tested the following representative Nylon products according to ASTM 446 entitled “Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Grab Bars and Accessories Installed in the Bathing Area.”

RETURN POLICY
Our return policy is not to accept merchandise for return beyond 7 days
from receipt. Any goods that prove to be defective within seven days of
receipt may be refunded or exchanged for a replacement of the same model.
Do not accept Shipments that arrive in damaged packaging. Before returning
any items you must call 1-973-875-5669 from 7 am - 4 pm Monday through
Friday eastern standard time and obtain a return authorization number.
Items sent back without a return authorization number will be refused.
All returned items must be returned in their original boxes, uninstalled, and with all parts,
hardware, and documents, properly packaged to avoid damage in shipping.
All returned items are subject to restocking and handling fees of 25 percent.
Shipping charges are non-refundable. Items returned in damaged or severely
used condition that cannot be resold as new will not be accepted. There
are no returns on custom finished or fabricated items.
